Inspire HR wrong step count compared to the distance

My Inspire HR shows a step count that is too low compared to the km I am walking - I would have to make steps of over 1 m to have such low step count.

I raised the question here before and it was indicated it could be linked to weights I am using but I have the same problem without weights. I tried walking with wider arm movements, with nearly no arm movements, quicker or slower pace - nothing seems to help.

Any idea how I can get the steps and km in synch again? Pls don't recommend manual adjustments in the dashboard, if I have to track things manually I don't need FitBit.

Thanks!

@Loerrach Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry to hear about this. This may not be an issue with the step detection but with the distance calculation. Your device uses the number of steps and multiplies it by the stride length measurement  to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.

Thanks for reaching out, Alvaro. My step length is set correctly at 75 cm - I had the same thought you had and checked it a few weeks ago.
