Inspire SmartTrack isn't working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I walk a lot - a twice-daily walk to and from work (20mins each way) and long dog walks (60mins+). My Inspire has always tracked all my trips with great accuracy. Two weeks ago it just stopped recording any and all activity. So unless I manually add a walk, I lose out on my daily tile. There is nothing wrong my Inspire. It still counts my steps (~11k per day). Have I accidentally turned something off without realising?? I’ve looked at different FAQs, checked all the settings and can’t find the answer. It’s just weird (and frustrating) that my activity days have suddenly dropped from 7 to 0. Help?

Welcome to the Community, @KimberleyC.

I understand how are you feeling and will be glad to help you out with this SmartTrack issue. SmartTrack recognizes an exercise that lasts at least 15 minutes. If your activities aren't recognized, lower the auto-exercise recognition setting to 10 minutes.

Let me know the outcome.

Thank you for your response. I walk to and from work every day, which takes 15-20 minutes each way. It stopped registering my walks on 24th August. Don’t worry, as long as it continues to register my steps it’s fine.

Thanks for getting back, @KimberleyC.

We've found that some customers have a better experience with SmartTrack if they try wearing their tracker on a different wrist. Because SmartTrack recognizes activities based on the continuous movement of your arms, in some cases, changing the wrist that you wear your tracker on can improve activity recognition.

Remember that if you change your wrist, you should also change your handedness setting.

Keep me posted.

This just happened to me this week!  All of a sudden since Jan 5th, the auto recognize for exercise hasn't been registering.  Everything else is transferring to the app, just not my active minutes, types of exercise, and length of time.  It's so frustrating, isn't it?

I wear my Fitbit inspire on a clip on my belt. Always have. I work in a hospital and can’t wear a watch. It’s the only reason I have stuck with the Inspire.
