I am interested in possibly getting a the inspire clip to utilize for fitness tracking because I love the smartwatch that I already have but the fitness part of it is not great. In order to utilize the Inspire clip do you have to purchase the actual Inspire tracker?

Thanks!

You can buy the Inspire clip separately, but it is made just to fit the Inspire and probably will not hold other trackers securely.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@Bchat25 The Inspire Clip is an accessory for the Fitbit Inspire, so it is not useful unless you have a Fitbit Inspire already.  It might also work with and fit an Inspire HR, but it is not  designed for that and it would interfere with the HR sensor.

I just bought the Inspire with the clip in hopes of not wearing it as a watch but counting steps and getting text and call notifications.  I am very disappointed.  I can not feel the clip vibrate when I get a notification.  I tried moving it different ways to improve it, didn’t help.  Going to try and contact Fitbit Support to inquire.  Hopefully they will be able to offer a solution.

@Poohfour   As someone who thinks the vibration is too soft on the wrist, I understand your frustration in the clip.  This Feature Suggestion was started asking for increased vibration for the Inspire HR.  You should vote for and post a comment about the Inspire in a clip.

But, can one vibration setting possibly satisfy people wearing the Inspire in a clip, maybe on their belt, as well as people wearing it on their wrist?  Are you really asking for an adjustable vibration setting, so it can be turned higher when in a clip?

I guess I am thinking that might help.
