Hi all.
I've searched constantly today for help
on this matter with no luck.
My fitbit inspire is registering A LOT of steps when driving. I’ve learned to add driving in the exercise log. I drive all day so registered 7 hours worth of driving today and its claiming I've still done over 5000 steps doing so.
Any help on this please?

@jameskerin Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!
Let me help you with your Inspire counting steps while you drive. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen while driving. As you mentioned you can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.
Let me know how it goes.

As I said. Even thought I registered driving as a 7 hour activity it still registered over 5000 steps. It was 8000 before the driving so it deducted only 3000 steps. That was impossible.
Ive now returned and got a full refund.
bye bye Fitbit
