Inspire device sleep view

My son got an Inspire for Christmas and in the morning it showed sleep on his device but this has since disappeared. The app shows sleep but didn’t sync with his device despite him wearing it in bed and I wondered how to get the sleep showing on his device again since this is one of the key reasons he wanted this. Thanks

I've had my inspire hr for about 3 weeks now. Only twice has it recorded sleep stages. I tried leaving it on my wrist where I normally wear it, moving it up 2 or 3 fingers from my wrist bone, wearing it tight, wearing it loose. Nothing seems to do it. The two times it showed stages I was wearing it at it's normal location on my wrist. To be honest, that is the usual place I wear it when I go to bed. Any suggestions.

I do have sleep apnea and use a CPAP, but I don't see how that would impact reading my sleep stages.

Welcome to the Forums @Wendynboys and @crgator! I'll be glad to give you a hand with the issue with your sleep tracking.

Thank you for the steps that you've tried before contacting us. There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.
  • You can read more about sleep variations here  Can this tell me if I have apnea or any other sleep disorder?

You can also edit or add your sleep if you've wore your Fitbit the night before How do I edit a sleep log in the Fitbit app?

If you've checked each one of those recommendations, please restart your Fitbit Inspire HR to see if this helps.

Keep me posted on the resolution.

I checked each of the recommendations, saw no issues, so I tried restarting my Fitbit.  I still go no sleep stages. What next.

Mine has stopped showing my sleep on my Fitbit but still syncs to app. Tried restarting did not work. Must be a bug that needs updating. Had since June was ok until this week.

I may have found the solution to my problem. I went to Personal Info and changed the Sleep Sensitivity to sensitive. It may be too soon to confirm, but so far, I'm getting my score.
