my inspire will randomly automatically sync. It doesn’t happen every day. I prefer to do it manually.   How can I correct this?

Thanks. Funny thing, it only syncs automatically about 2 or 3 times a week. Not every day.

You cannot prevent it from automatically syncing, even if you prefer to hide your progress in challenges.

From How do Fitbit devices sync their data?

If it really is important enough to you, I suppose you could try never opening the phone app until you want to sync, maybe even having to log out of app.

Or to extremes, turn your phone off, of keep it away from your tracker, rendering your phone worthless.

There used to be an option "all-day sync" which you could turn on or off, but that option was removed, keeping it permanently on.

Alternatively, why not just let people in challenges see your progress as your go?  Would the challenges be as fun for you if everybody else hid their steps so nobody could have any idea how anyone was doing until the end?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for getting back to us and for sharing your syncing inquiry @Clover20

Fitbit devices no longer sync automatically every 15 minutes as they used to do. You must open the Fitbit App in order to sync your tracker.

Thank you for your advise @JohnnyRow.
