I got my Inspire a week ago. It was working great with my Mac and iPad. Yesterday, Inspire stopped syncing at 2:14 pm. I cannot get it to sync with my Mac or iPad for anything. It's counting steps on the Inspire but not syncing with my Mac or iPad. Someone suggested attaching the Inspire to the charger and holding the button for 10 seconds. That wiped out today's steps on the Inspire (back to 0) but it still won't sync with my Mac or iPad. Fitbit Support won't get back to me for 2 days. Thinking about returning this thing!

Annoying that since the app was updated some time in May, syncing is erratic. I have.lost data for 5 days. These days, to be able to sync, I keep having to either log out and log back in or delete the device, add it back and pair it again with the app.
The syncing settings have been modified in the app.and screwed up our ability to reliably transfer data to the app.

Mine won't even do that. It synced fine yesterday after I first set it up on both my iPhone and on my Fire tablet. Today it won't sync. I managed to get it to sync to the Fire one time out of many many tries, but it did not record anything for last night's sleep measurement, not even hours slept. Also, the sleep screen on my actual tracker is grayed out. I have no idea how to fix that; pressing the side button doesn't do anything about sleep.
Help!
Mine was able to sync for about a day! I'm having mega issues with it today, after receiving and setting it up on both my iPhone and my Fire tablet yesterday. Today it would not sync to either. After working for hours, it finally synced after I repeatedly tried to sync it. However, it did not record (sync?) last night's sleep time at all. It did sync yesterday's steps so I don't know what's going on with that.
Now it won't sync and it loses its Bluetooth connection with my phone. Even when I go in my phone settings and connect it, when I immediately open the Fitbit app and try to sync it it says it's not connected. I can't get it to sync with my Fire tablet at all today.
I've done everything I can imagine to do. Charged all three batteries to 100%, shut down and restarted the phone and Fire and restarted the tracker several times. I've deleted all my other Bluetooth devices from my phone settings. I've logged out and back into my Fitbit account on both devices and then restarted them again. I've deleted my ancient Charge HR from my Fitbit app. I've deleted the Inspire HR from my Fitbit app and set it up again, several times.
Nothing works!! (Or it randomly worked one time this afternoon, but not again. And it still doesn't show last night's sleep time.
FWIW, with my ancient Charge HR, it would sometimes not sync to my phone, but after multiple attempts it usually would without all the restarting, logging out/in, etc. It almost always synced just fine to my Fire tablet. The Inspire won't today.
Hello someone from Fitbit, what can be done about this? I don't want to have to send it back, but if it won't sync (and won't record sleep even on the rare occasion it will sync), it's useless to me. HELP!!
Btw, when scrolling through the display on the Inspire HR tracker, the sleep icon is grayed out. I've tried tapping, pressing the side button, etc. I have no idea why it's grayed out or how to fix it. Restarting the tracker hasn't fixed that, either. HELP again!!

I read the answers to this a couple months ago when I was having problems and I followed the instructions someone gave about going into settings into Bluetooth and deleting the i on the far right hand side so it took it completely out and then it let me sync it back in and I haven’t had a problem since.

Was the same problem in my case.
Ended up calling FitBit support for help. Result:
1. Can't fix sync with laptop. Which is BS since that was my main sync site. Dunno why sync won't work and I'm still pretty pissed about it.
2. Partially fixed sync with Android phone. It sync'd after removing Inspire from list of Bluetooth devices AND resetting Inspire AND uninstalling then re-installing Fitbit App AND removing Inspire from account then re-adding to account. And this last part took 3 tries. But it won't sync regularly on the days after. It will sync occasionally and there isn't the same condition each time (once it sync'd while charging, once it sync'd because Inspire was on top of phone and other time it sync'd without either of these reasons). In the times it sync'd it only loaded THAT DAY'S data and the data from other days were lost. But since it sync'd at the time of calling support, I was offered a replacement or anything =.=
So I've given up trying to sync steps from this crappy Fitbit Inspire. I'll record manually if/when I remember while I research an alternative non-watch fitness tracker to replace it with (since my Inspire is <2 months old I'm not in a hurry to replace it). Would love to hear of alternative recommendations if anyone knows what else can be found now.

I spent over an hour yesterday in a chat with Fitbit. Absolutely no help and a waste of time. She blamed my iPhone and my Fire tablet even though I've used them with Fitbit before, and my new Fitbit had synced with both of them the day I got it. roll eyes
What I did on my own later, out of desperation, was a factory reset on the Inspire HR. (Delete its data.) I had to do that several times, and also did all the other things again (Delete the device in the app, restart the Fitbit, phone, and Fire, etc, reinstall the Fitbit in the app, etc.) It never synced last night, but miracles happen and this morning it synced on my phone and Fire. AND it actually recorded my sleep data too, which it had not done the night before. I haven't been able to see any of my data on my Fire yet, but I'm still working on that. At least it said it had synced this morning. My data shows on my phone.
I'm wondering if it will sync again later, though, as it had synced fine the day I installed it but then would not sync on either device after that.
Try several factory restarts on the Fitbit along with all the other things to try. Then wait overnight. And hope.
Fitbit obviously needs to fix these problems, as so many people have these same issues. I still have 27 days to return mine to Amazon; hoping I don't have to do that. I like the tracker if/when it actually works.

Update to my previous post:
Yesterday it did finally sync to my Fire tablet, too, so all was well yesterday. This morning it synced to both and it had again recorded my sleep data. Yay!!
Not yay. I've had problems with it again all day. It will not sync when I try to sync it. (In another thread Fitbit told someone they took away the option for All-day Sync for some reason.). Also, now the sleep icon on my tracker screen is grayed out again. I have no idea why. I haven't changed any of my settings as I was happy to leave well enough alone after all the problems I had. I'm afraid it won't record any sleep data tonight with the sleep icon grayed out.
I can't get the website dashboard to update, and I can't sync with my phone or Fire. I don't want to do another factory reset/delete data because I'm not sure today's data has uploaded and I don't want to lose it.
I can't believe Fitbit can't do better than this as long as they've been making activity trackers. I'm going to give this another couple of days and if it still has one good day, one bad day again I'm going to return it. This is ridiculous!
It synced fine the afternoon I got it, but it didn't record any sleep data that night. Then after pulling teeth I got it working yesterday, and now today it's not again. So frustrating...

Mine synced for a year now it only does so intermittently. I’ve given up trying all the suggested methods. I think Fitbit wants me to buy a new one. No chance.

Having same problem with my Android. Not the first time either. thinking of switching tracker companies after 6 years as a FitBit user. Very frustrating.
I told my Android bluetooth to forget the device based on nomcc recommendation above. It seems to have worked.......for now

I have had a similar problem pairing my inspire 3 with my Samsung flip 3 phone. I tweeted Fitbit and I was told my phone and others are not compatible until a fix is made on a bug.
