Inspire for Swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a FitBit Inspire and want to use it for swimming.

A) Do I need to turn on a water lock? (I've heard it mentioned)

B) Can it track my lengths as I can't find anything on the device or app to show swimming settings.

Many thanks.

Welcome to the Fitbit forums @ClaireMoggs !

You can swim with your Inspire. It is designed to detect your swim activity, Inspire automatically tracks swims using automatic exercise recognition

To learn more, you can check this helpful article : How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device?

I hope this helps.

Have a sparkling, fabulous New Year!

Thanks. However my Inspire isn't mentioned in the list in that link, just the inspire HR and 2. My Inspire doesn't have the exercise button it mentions. As long as I can use it in the water, I'll give it a go and see if it registers.

Sorry, but that article is not actually helpful. I've given up, I've rarely come across such appalling design. I got as far as going into swim exercise mode, and can't get back out anymore. Still can't set the pool length, or show anything other than a stopwatch in swim mode. Just garbage, going to return it.
