my fitbit wouldn't scroll so I restarted it and now the screen is blank and I have to press the button on the side to see clock

Let me help you with your Inspire screen not working and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Since the tracker is still lighting up I suggest you try changing the clock face and see how it behaves.
