Problems with Fitbit Inspire. I recently bought a cheap fitness tracker which logged me doing 4000 steps whilst asleep, decided to go back to back to Fitbit after having good experience with them in the past.
I bought an Inspire, I am so disappointed as I’ve just watched it count 220 steps whilst I’m stationary. I have recently just had a baby so I’m aware I’m picking her up and patting her back etc which might contribute but this was literally sitting still. I’ve put settings as dominant yet wearing on non dominant as suggested online and not much difference.
I’m gutted as I didn’t want to spend too much money on one and was hoping this would motivate me to get out. Does anyone have any advice? Or possibly advice on a better Fitbit that is preferably not one of the most expensive ones as I will most likely return this is they let me.

Welcome to the Community, @Spanglesakura94.
I understand how are you feeling and appreciate the feedback provided. For tips about improving accuracy, I recommend checking the help article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?.
Several things can affect the number of steps your Fitbit device records, including where you place the device, if you wear it on your dominant or non-dominant hand, and your stride length. If you're pushing a stroller or shopping cart, try putting your device in your pocket or use GPS to record your activity, if possible.
If it still seems like your device is undercounting or overcounting steps, try a step test. While you perform your step test, make sure you:
-Walk at a normal pace
-Don’t hold anything in your hands
-Put your arms down at your sides, swinging naturally
-Count 1 step for each foot
-To avoid getting an additional step when you bring your feet together, after you reach 100 steps:
Here’s the step test:
