Hi @SunsetRunner,

The good news is you've saved yourself some time by creating a Fitbit account.  Download the Fitbit app on your device (I assume you're using a phone, but you could use a computer or tablet) and log in.

Once you log in, you should see a tiny version of your Fitbit icon in the upper left corner.  Turn your Bluetooth on and tap the Fitbit icon.

Go into your Bluetooth settings and connect your device to the Bluetooth, you will need this in a later step.

Go back into the Fitbit app and select "Set Up New Device".  From there, select "Inspire/Inspire HR" and follow the prompts.

As a side note, all other Bluetooths should be either turned off or moved during this process so the tracker doesn't get confused.

My issue was other Bluetooth device at home (exactly the Philips Hue Plug). I have turned off all other devices and finally I was able to finish the setup.

I am trying to setup the inspire, but on the screen that asks to select the type of device, inspire is not listed.  I just bought it, is it already discontinued?

My Fitbit Inspire HR had been fine but then the time/clock all of a sudden was wrong and it wouldn’t sync with the app on my iPhone 8. I did a soft and then a hard reset, but when I try to setup the device again, it finds the device but then gets to the “connecting to the tracker” part and stays there for literally hours. My phone’s Bluetooth won’t connect to it, either. Is this fixable or do I need to send it for warranty work/repairs?

Got it! What finally allowed the device to connect was going into the Bluetooth settings on my phone and removing all other Bluetooth devices by hitting “forget this device,” even though they weren’t nearby or connected. I hope this helps someone else! It was very frustrating right up until it was fixed.

I'm having the same exact problem. Did you ever figure it out? The Inspire isn't even listed in the tracker setup options

I had to delete every device listed under Bluetooth in Settings on my phone, then it would connect. Mine is an Inspire HR and it was listed on the tracker options.
Hope this helps!
