I bought a new Inspire but the iPad and the Inspire cannot find each other.
it has 47% charge so going to charge it fully and try again but if it doesn’t work it will be sent back.
already tried turning the Bluetooth on and off, restarted the iPad.
any other suggestions.

Try resetting the tracker itself.
With the device connected to the charger, carefully hold down the button on the left for about 5 seconds or so and the screen will go blank.
You will know it restarted if you see a happy face when it comes back up.

Well it restarted the Fitbit Inspire but it still won’t initially sync to the iPad.

In your iPad settings your Inspire should show up as a connected device. I would find this device and have it forgotten in the settings.
Then delete it from your account and attempt to set it up again.
One other thing, does your iPad have the latest OS?

Fitbit won't shut off no matter how long I hold down the button.

HELP! I'm having the same problems. I've done everything suggested here. Does anyone with FitBit monitor these boards? WTF

Same here. Can't even get the tracker to turn on unless I disconnect and reconnect the charger. Then all I get is a scroll that gives me the url for the set up. I went through the set up procedure. My accounts say it's set up and connected, but mostly the device seems perpetually asleep. Bluetooth on my iPad doesn't recognize it nor can my computer find it. I'm going to let the battery charge and then try again tomorrow. Best I can tell the company doesn't monitor the boards.

In the end I contacted the company and returned the fit bit for a refund.

I had this same problem and was eventually successful in connecting the bluetooth after many failed attempts. In the end, I started from the beginning with everything by:
1. Removing the device from my Fitbit app.
2. Deleted the Fitbit app from my iPhone.
3. Restarted the Fitbit device (plug into charger..hold down button until smiley face appears.)
4. Removed the Fitbit device from my list of bluetooth devices on my iPhone (i.e. "forget this device.")
5. Reinstalled the Fitbit app, logged into my account and set up the device again.
I do not know if all of these steps were necessary but, in the end, it worked!

OOPS...#3 should say "restarted the Fitbit device."

I have a android cell phone and decided to try with it. The tracker was recognized by Bluetooth and the firmware update is running successfully so far. The problem seems to be related to compatibility with IOS operating systems. It's an adventure. Instead of walking I'm trying to get a pedometer to work. Irony!

I too am having this extremely frustrating problem. I've disconnected Bluetooth double digit times, uninstalled and reinstalled app. Checked the router connections and even Youtube the set up process. I LOVED my ONE but after 4 years it's wearing out, thought this would be a good option but I'm so irritated and pissed, just want to package and send back to Amazon!!

I've been having the same issue. Super frustrating. I have a galaxy s9 phone. My fitibit stopped syncing so I started through all of the troubleshooting options (all listed in this thread) and I still can't my Fitbit to pair with my device. Customer support sent me to various articles (not helpful). Not sure where to go from where I'm at other than spend money on a new one.

I finally had to get a refund. Like yourself and so many others in this feed, I've made several attempts (no less than 20 - I actually counted because I couldn't believe how difficult this was). I uninstalled cthe app, disconnected bluetooth, checked my router and tried all the various options people listed. In the end nothing worked. Perhaps you"ll be among the lucky few that get it to work. Good Luck.

I also have tried everything. Eventually I removed the app and in hope tried Fitbit lite. The pedometer works but have to put up with ads. That's about it! Was a gift so I don't like to ask for a receipt. Just won't buy or mention Fitbit in a favourable light in future. Sort it out Fitbit!

Hi RobboMK, Glad to hear you found a workaround for your Fitbit except for the excessive ads. After I returned my Inspire I decided to give the Charge a try. So far so good. I'm liking the features and I checked it against my One and the numbers are pretty spot on. So if you're in the market if your "gift" doesn't go the distance the Charge might be a winner.

Not worth it if you have to do this every couple of days. Fitbit needs to fix it. Very unhappy with the Inspire.
