Inspire2 not syncing with iPhone 8

The message "Syncing your Inspire 2" displays, and the progress thermometer proceeds quickly to about 60%, then no movement.  After about 30 seconds, message "Sync is taking a while. Sit tight..."

then after about another minute message "Couldn't sync your Inspire 2"  along with a FIX button that takes me to a fitbit help page.  I am using the iPhone app, all updated, on an iPhone8, all updated.  I did the "forget" the item on bluetooth, then restarted the iphone and also rebooted the Inspire2.

Same result.  An hour of attempts and hand-wringing, so I post this plaintive query to fellow fitbitters.

Note that my website account is synchronized!   But not the iPhone.  Can you help?

p.s. Step tracking works fine;  but I cannot get heartrate monitor to work, either...but my real need is for step tracking to synchronize with the Health App and with Noom.

Accepted Solutions

Hello @bjccot

I looked at your other post you posted yesterday as well. It appears as if you can’t find your heart rate settings to check to ensure they are on. I dug around a bit and found the solution for you here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Frt6-7rt42M. So this should address your heart rate question you have posted here.
Now to address your syncing issues with Noom:

  1. Open Noom and go to Settings > Apps & Devices > Connect Additional Devices and tap Disconnect alongside your fitness tracker.
  2. Reconnect your fitness tracker by tapping Connect.
  3. If prompted, tap Allow on any permissions.
  4. Go to Settings > Apps & Devices > Choose Steps Data Source and select your fitness tracker.

There can be a time delay in data transferring from a third-party app to Noom. This process can take up to an hour due to potential delays from the fitness tracker’s cloud servers.

Look here for tips on connecting to your Health App: https://www.iphonelife.com/content/how-connect-health-or-fitness-tracking-device-your-health-app#How...

if the issues continue with the Noom App as well as the Health App I’d consider posting those concerns/issues here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-App-Gallery/bd-p/appgallery. It’s the Fitbit App Gallery that addresses particular apps you might be having trouble with. It would get the best exposure there.

😃 Please let me know if this dies indeed give you the best answer for your heart rate issue.
