Issues with Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As of now, I am ready to leave the FitBit Brand completely.  My Inspire HR started going downhill about  a week ago when it stopped synching with my phone; and despite disconnecting and reconnecting to MyFitness Pal, my steps were not synching in this app as well.  Then, starting two days ago, it stopped holding a charge.  I can charge it all night, and then when I resume wearing it, it's dying in a couple of hours.  I tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested in other chats.  I used a different charging port.  I reset the FitBit.  Nothing is working.

I've worn FitBits consistently since 2015.  Unfortunately, I average needing to buy a new one EVERY YEAR.  In older models, I had straps break with models that couldn't replace straps.  Then, I moved to the Alta and went through 2 that suddenly died and never came back on.  I gave the brand the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe I over charged?  Maybe it got too wet? (Hence, why I went to the Inspire).  After 5 different FitBits lasting less than a year, I'm moving on to a different brand.

Hi @Chelsey1984, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the input that was shared, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Your effort troubleshooting this situation before to posting over here is appreciated. Prioritizing the issues you're experiencing with your Inspire HR, let me share with you that the battery of this model was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I feel this way as well.  I have trusted FB products since FB zip.  I trusted the brand.  My products used to last years.  Now they last a year at most. And I don't want to hear "I" am doing something wrong.  I take care of my products so well I used to be able to sell them used "like new" with the boxes and use that money towards new FB products.  I have been using FB products over 3000 plus days with MFP on my journey, 200 lbs gone and kept gone.  I dont want to hear any "tech" advice as you can't even restore my ORIGINAL FB account that magically "dissapeared" causing me to lose years of data and to create this account.  So please FB.  By my account you owe me an apology and at least gift me a watch.  I like my Inspire HR but FB, you really have zero concern for disabled ppl or people with meaty hands or sensitive skin when you design items.  You HAVE CHANGED your products for the worst. Case 1. Bands. My new Inspire HR, bought maybe a months ago....burned my wrist out.  What are you putting in bands now? Where are you purchasing from? And dont lie.  I can look. I suspect now you out source your bands.  They are made cheaper and the latex content is higher than before.  BUT you did NOT label the package for sensitive skin.  2. This forced me to buy an alternative band, which I discovered the "pin" system. I am partially paralyzed! Why no extra pins? I live alone! You drop one of those tiny weasels it is GONE like a sock in the laundry. What about ppl with vision problems, or meaty fingers? 3. Darn charger, I AM going to break my device.  I am like Hulk Hogan detaching that thing.  So FB.  Please have dignity and gift this user a disability friendly watch.  And send some latex free bands.  Had you labeled all this I would NOT have bought that Inspire HR, on my fixed income, in a plague.  And this poster is correct. Your product has declined in quality over the years, gift him a device.  Do NOT excuse your long term customers.  Do not be capitalists.
