Logging exercise

I have tried to log an exercise program and it doesn't seem possible.  I tried to contact customer service and they were no help.  I exercise for 30 minutes and when I try to put it in, it ask me for the calories.  I do not understand how to get that number.

I recommend using the exercise app on your wrist to record the exercise as you do it.  This way, you use the actual data that Fitbit collected, and you tell it the start and stop times to be sure to get the right length of the workout.

When you log a workout after-the-fact, it does not use the recorded data, but instead uses estimates you are required to enter.  I think different type workouts let you enter different parameters, such as distance, speed, or calories, but all end up being your estimates instead of actual recorded data.

Logging a workout afterward is best just for cases when you were not actually wearing the tracker during the workout.

For information on how to use the Exercise App, see How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
