My fit bit stopped displaying anything

Help When I got up this morning my fitbit wouldn't display anything. Not even the time. I tried charging it and pushing the buttons but nothing. It is keeping track of my steps because I can see it on my computer. I must have done something when I was sleeping. Any suggestions?

Hi, @Deb173 , if you can get it to restart that will probably solve your issue.  To restart:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Your post suggests that you have already tried this, but I would suggest trying a few more times

- making sure that your Fitbit really is plugged in properly and charging

- holding the button for considerably longer than 5 secs (while still making sure it is charging.  I appreciate that this can be awkward as the charging cord is very short and the magnetic contact not super strong.  I really would recommend trying again!

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.  Welcome to the forums!
