My Inspire 2 LED screen is dark & doesn't show anything on it even though the battery is charged & it is recording steps. How do i restore it?

The first step was to get a display on the screen. I pressed the sides multiple times before this happened. Then I scrolled from the Clock up to Settings and selected Reboot. I rebooted several times before the device came properly back to life. Three days on and it is still working.
