New Phone and Accidentally Clearing User Data

Hi! I don’t really do ask questions in these forum things but I’m desperate!

I recently got a new phone and haven’t gotten around to syncing my phone to my tracker, but when I did, it didn’t sync up no matter what I tried!

And then earlier I accidentally cleared the user data on the watch too!

I was hoping that if anyone knew what I should do they could help? I just want sync the two!

So please, if anyone knows how to fix this, please help!

Hello @FlatSat

I hope I can help. We can try setting up your Inspire HR as a new device. You won’t lose any of your previous data as it is held on the Fitbit servers. But you will however lose any data you may have collected after your last successful sync.

I understand you have a new phone. Make sure (if you still have your old phone) that your not connected to the Bluetooth on your old phone. I’d turn off your old phone during this process as well if you still have it.

Here is how you set up your Inspire HR again as a new device. Please follow these instructions carefully:

  1. Remove the Inspire HR from the Bluetooth settings on your new phone. (If your using Android tap unpair. If on iOS tap the blue information icon then tap forget this device) If your Inspire HR is not showing on your Bluetooth at all proceed to step 2 (Basically make sure your Inspire HR is not showing at all)
  2. Turn off other nearby Bluetooth connections. (Like your old phone)
  3. Check if your Fitbit App is updated
  4. Log out of your Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  5. Restart your Inspire HR: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm
  6. Log back into your Fitbit app as you normally would with your email address and password, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up a Device.
  7. Select the Inspire HR and follow the onscreen instructions. When asked if you want to replace the Inspire HR say yes.

😉 Hopefully that gets you up and running again. Please come back and let me know how it goes.
