Not able to get notifications or all day sync to stop buffering

We are now working on our second Fitbit as the first one would not work at all.

Our current problem is that the Fitbit shows as connected on Bluetooth but when we push notifications all day sink goes green and it buffers along with the notification. After a certain length of time not sure what it is we get a notification that we need to pair the Fitbit with the iPhone 7. When you check the Bluetooth connection it shows that the Fitbit is indeed paired. As a result of this continuing to happen unable to get any notifications. As well randomly the Fitbit stops being paired via Bluetooth to the iPhone. Could not locate this issue on the forum can you please help.

Would like to add that we have tried every solution offered in the help menus as well as what other folks have been advised to do for similar issues I.e delete app, reinstall app, restart phone, restart Fitbit, factory reset Fitbit. We have spent way too much of our time on this item.

 A heads up, against my wishes my partner bought another brand at half the price. It setup and is operating flawlessly.

Would love to know the alternate brand you purchased.  I have just about had it with Fitbit sync issues - works for a month or two then kicks out.  This time, none of the previous steps I used have worked....so frustrating.
