Not counting all steps, face doesn't turn on when i raise and look at it, inaccurate HR

I'm thinking of taking it back or exchanging it. Just don't want to go past the return date so I need to decide soon.

1. Heart rate has never worked. It is rarely below 100, and the lowest I've gone to is 93. It read 140ish when I was walking on the treadmill but the machine had me at 170ish. Put it on my mom - just stayed at the same 115.

2. Counting steps - It doesn't always count my steps. If I really accentuate and make big leaps, I can watch it go up. But just regular walking it either doesn't count it, or it registers 5 minutes later.

3. Face - It no longer turns on when I bring it up to me. Hope that makes sense. Like if you're standing with arms at side, then bend elbow to look at the watch. I no longer have that feature.

I've tried resetting and cleaning it. Charge is still at 50%. but is there anything I am doing wrong or I can fix instead? As I write this, it really seems like a good idea to get a replacement.. but what if that replacement doesn't work properly? This was bought at Kohls.

@mk04m It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not working as it should and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. For the heart rate I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

About your steps not being counted. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may be still but you could be moving or walking. This may happen when you are pushing a cart or holding bars while walking or doing treadmill. For added sensitivity you can try wearing your device on your dominant hand but select that hand as non dominant on the device’s settings to make it more sensitive to movement. Also make sure your hands are moving so the device can properly track your steps.

Finally the change in the sensitivity should help with the screen wake feature.

Let me know how it goes.

@AlvaroFitbit Thanks for your help. I got the screen and steps to work, but the heart rate is still off and goes into the 100s.  I used a treadmill sensor while I was doing light/moderate exercise,  and the fitbit was 20+  beats less.  I cleaned it and restarted it, but now it's at at 97 BP. Any help?
