Not tracking steps/freezing on a step

I’m noticing my inspire HR is often freezing at a step and not recording my steps which causes me to miss out on hundreds of missed steps. The other day it happened when I was pushing my stroller around the mall (it has counted its steps/the position of my arm before) and just now I noticed it seemed low. I took some steps and checked again. Nothing. Took some exaggerated steps. Nothing. Walked all around normally... nothing. I opened the app on my iPhone (so it synced) then started looking up suggestions online and went upstairs to get my charger and it started working again. It’s a bit frustrating as these aren’t the first two times I’ve noticed. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi @SunsetRunner That must be frustrating. Try restarting your Inspire several times and then see if it happens again.

My wife has a similar problem with her Inspire HR. She had this problem with her previous Fitbit, which is why I purchased the Inspire for her. She had to use a knee brace for a fractured femur, and just had knee replacement surgery. I'm guessing that her tentative walking pattern during this period is causing both units to miss her steps. Where can I find a discussion about this and how to avoid the problem?
