Every time I charge Fitbit, I notice after, I won’t receive notifications on it until I do a reset on the Fitbit. It’s extremely frustrating and annoying! What can be done?

Hi @Amber87777 nice to see you here. Thanks for sharing the notifications issues with your Inspire HR. I'll be glad to give you a hand with that.

Notifications skip or stop occasionally for several reasons, I'd like to check with you some steps to make them work again with your phone.

Requirements for a successful synchronization:

  • Phone should be a compatible device check our list of compatible devices
  • The phone must be bonded with their device
  • Bluetooth service must be turned on
  • For Android phones: to help improve the delivery, go to Notifications and make sure Enable Notification Widget is on. If you recently updated the Fitbit app, reboot your mobile device and try setting up notifications again.
  • Make sure the Do Not Disturb setting on your mobile device is turned off because it prevents the device from sending notifications to your tracker.
  • The software on your mobile device is updated. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update iOS for Android  Settings > About phone > Android Version.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your mobile device is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • If you use more than one Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer to sync, the other one isn't nearby (or has Bluetooth disabled).
  • Your tracker's battery should be fully charged.
  • Also check your phone permissions and leave location on to keep syncing and getting notifications with your phone, for more info check this suggestions from @ErickFitbitSmiley Wink

If the syncing issue remains, I would recommend following the steps below:

  1. Force quit the App and turn off your phone
  2. Open Fitbit App, go to Account (upper right corner) > Delete Fitbit tracker from the Account
  3. Open the Bluetooth Setting on your phone and delete Fitbit Inspire HR from there too
  4. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure your Fitbit is not there
  5. Restart your tracker  a couple of times and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up your Fitbit tracker back
  6. Turn on notifications

This should solve those issues that you're having, please keep me posted on the resolution! Smiley Wink

I have the same issue and doing all of these things has never permanently solved the issue. Every time I charge my Inspire I go into the notifications settings, turn them all off, sync the Fitbit, then turn them all on again and resume. Then they all work again. It’s annoying to have to do every time though.

I have the same issue! It’s incredibly annoying! Although mine will work fine one minute and then all of a sudden stop and I have to reset it with the charger and sync it again. Fitbit needs to get it together!!

Anyone had any luck resolving this issue I have Huwaei P20 Pro...and my notifications work for a while and then suddenly stops working...i have to clear data & cache...re login to app and then turn on notifications again...its getting super annoying and putting me off using my fitbit as I'm not sure I can rely on it if my notifications suddenly stop working.
