Overcounting steps

I have had the inspire HR for one week and it is significantly overcounting  steps. This makes me question whether all the other features on the device are as inaccurate as well. I have followed all guidance on this site and there is no change. Interestingly it says above search before posting the answer may already exist but it doesn’t.

Not had problems with a Fitbit device before.

There seems to be a lack of response from Fitbit re this issue and it is apparent it has been going on for some time but the product is still on sale.

Fitbit what are you going to do to sort this problem?

Hello @Rstor1 when you say that it is over counting steps. What are you doing slurring these periods of over counting??

As for over counting steps, I found 16 posts on this subject with 11 marked solved. True I only looked at 1.5 pages of results.

Hi - yes I found the posts and carried out all recommendations to solve the issue but it hasn’t solved it
over counting steps have occured while drinking coffee in a friends house over
350 sitting doing nothing apart from chatting and drinking a coffee
100 steps recorded when I had counted 24
Over 1000 steps taken when driving a car. There are many more examples but they would get boring.

Seems ridiculous that this issue hasn’t been sorted but the devices are still on sale

Thanks Rstor
