Overestimating Mileage

My inspire two is over estimating mileage it’s even showing mileage when I’ve not left the house there’s no way I walk 2 miles in my own house this morning!

How many steps?  Assuming you are connected to phone's GPS, distance = number of steps times stride length.

Oops - meant assuming not connected to GPS

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi 

When I’m just walking around the house I don’t have my phone on me. The Fitbit is showing I’ve walked nearly  a mile !

13,688 steps 

6.75 miles 

There’s no way I’ve walked that far today ! My Apple app says 9306 steps and 3.5 miles which is more like what I’ve actually done.
