Wow! I am amazing! I just did 35,000 steps in .34 of a mile before 8:00 am. This is twice now that my inspire has counted phantom steps, the last time it was 25,000. From reading other threads on the other models this seems to be an issue across all models for fitbit.
Mine also never recognizes any activity other than walking. I can ride a bike for 2 miles or swim laps for 30 minutes and nothing is recorded. If I enter manually that I am about to swim or ride then it records it.
There has to be a better option other than an Apple or fitbit.

Hi @Helenbg, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Only steps are being affected? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Inspire and let me know if you continue experiencing difficulties tracking steps and exercises with your device.
Looking forward to your reply.

Hey Ricardo, Helen,
Twice in the last Week I have had the same issue as Helen - over 20k steps being added randomly.
This morning I saw it happen and interestingly it happened on the android app first - the app notified me of smashing my daily goal. I looked at my device (Blaze) and it was showing the much more realistic 2k steps for 8am.....then it must have synced and flashed up with the steps achieved screen and updated the steps to 22k...
This looks to have come from the App, rather than the device (on this occasion, I did not see it happen the previous time).
After the last time I tried a few things to remove the steps (from advice found on the forum) which included rebooting the Blaze a number of times.
Thoughts?
Brad
