Protection Plan - Anyone Else Had Issues?

I received an Inspire HR as a gift and really want to add a protection plan (it was purchased directly from Fitbit), but apparently the only way to buy the plan after purchasing is to hope you get prompted to do so through the app. I had the banner ad come up once to buy the protection plan but dismissed it assuming I would have the option to add it later... like even 10 minutes later.

 

I reached out to both Fitbit and Square Trade's customer service but neither will sell me the plan... I have never come across such a strange policy. Am I missing something here? Has anyone else had experience with buying a protection plan after purchasing the Fitbit?

@Dstilz Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your protection plan. If you purchase from the Fitbit store using a web browser and a computer you can add the protection plan from the beginning. The app will show you to add the plan in the form of a banner but if you dismiss it they it won't insist on this. Still if you wish to propose a change then share your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exist so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.
