I have not had my fitbit on for about a year. I would like to reset the data and the date. I have tried to get to the setting app but can not do so.  I have an Inspire HR.  Can you help?

As I said before, date and time will get set from your phone or other sync device the first time it syncs.

And I explained above about resetting data.

'Settings' should be at the very top of the apps, by scrolling upward (swiping down).

I'm not sure what you mean by resetting the data.  Or maybe you meant reset the date, not data.  If you mean to get rid of all your history, you cannot do that, but I don't understand why anyone would want to.  If you truly wanted to start anew, the only way is to create a new fitbit account with a different email.

As for not being able to get to the settings app, I need more explanation.  Is your Inspire HR charged and otherwise working?  Can you get to other displays or apps?  Is it just 'Settings' you cannot get to or any display?  Can you see the clock face?

Johnny, Thank you so much for responding so soon!  I shamefully admit that I have not had my fit bit on for almost a year.  I was able to get it to recharge 100%.  I can access all apps except for the settings.  I can access the stopwatch app.  Is this the same as the clock face? At this time the date states June 28 when the actual date is April 21. The time on the fit bit is  11:37 when the actual time here in Ohio is 3:12.  It says I have taken 96 steps.  Although I did take it to a different room in my house, I doubt that it was 96 steps.  Is there a way to set everything back to 0 and start over again?

Johnny, (my name is Jerri) I was just reviewing your response to my first question.  You mentioned something about my fit bit being in sync.  I watched a you tube message on how to do that.  It said to connect my fit bit to the charger and then to my lap top, hold in the button for 8 seconds and the settings app would appear.  I did that but the mentioned smiley face did not appear.  However, the fit bit symbol (diamond shaped array of dots) did appear.  I tried to access settings from there with no luck.

Hello, thank your for reply. I would like to get rid of all the data, because I lent my fitbit sense to a friend and he used my login, it means that the last 4 months all the data is from him. So, I would like to delete all the data without deleting the account, is it possible? Thank you.

@Diérick  On phone app from Today screen,

Profile Pic > SETTINGS: Account Settings > Delete Data

I think that lets you select range but I have never gone into that setting so I'm not sure what the prompts or options are that that.
