Set up Inspire HR with MacBook Air

This is our first FitBit purchase of an Inspire HR. We are trying to set up via a MacBook Air.

We have created an account but cannot get past the set up.  There are pop up windows with next and back button which I assume must be displaying instructions but they appear blank except for the buttons.  There are 4 screens but all blank.  After these 4 screens it does not connect, despite the Inspire HR being linked to the mac via usb. We keep being asked to try again...getting frustrated and would appreciate any assistance.  Thanks.

Thanks, @ianbale . It's really disappointing they've dropped support and service for an entire community. On the other hand, that app never worked right for my original FitBit, so I can't say I'm too broken up over it.

I did notice on the box that it doesn't list Mac OS as being supported, so at least they're not making claims there.

Sadly, when you order online you don't get the see the box until after you have paid for it...

You just have the FitBit website to check this sort of thing - which does say there is Mac support.

Maybe Google will invest in a few mac developers since they are buying FitBit. In the mean time, mum's returning the FitBit and will buy buy a similar product from Garmin that does have Mac support.

I was unimpressed with support when I first contacted them. But since finding this forums and seeing just how long people have been complaining about Mac support, I am staggered that they have never bothered to (a) update the website or (b) educate their support staff. Google have a lot of work on their hands when they take over!

What has the post from FitBit support that completely fails to address the problem in any possible way been marked as "Best possible answer"? The correct answer of course is "It not possible, we lied about the Mac support:..

FitBit Support - do the decent thing and unmark this thread as answered or replace the "best answer" with a true statement that support has been removed and will not be replaced in future. Advise such customers to return their FitBit's for a refund.

Stop messing people about!

Yes. If you'll notice, the screen shot is clearly from a Windows environment. The support person didn't even bother to be thorough.

Hello,

I'm trying to sync my inspire HR on my Mac, however it won't come up as an option. I can't scroll down to choose the other option, and only half on the image for the 'one' device can be seen as i can't scroll down.

Hi,

I'm running a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) with macOS Catalina 10.15.6. I download Fitbit Connect for Mac today.

I get to the pop up you show but it is too small for me to see the additional options (for inspire HR) at the bottom and I can't resize the window or scroll down. Seems like a small problem with the design of the software?

I'm only temporarily without a phone, and normally the app works well for me. But might be worth trying to fix the bug.
