I've just got the Fitbit and am frustrated already.
The link to the set up gave me https://www.fitbit.com/en-ca/404
I tried using iMac and laptop
Wonderful start to using this tool

The windows setup link is still dead. I'm also in Canada, and I get a 404.
This has been broken for 3(?) months. Is there a plan to do something about it?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @slackerjack1943.
Thank you for joining the thread and confirming that the issue persists. I appreciate the additional details and would like to confirm that our team was informed about this and we're actively working in order to have a solution released soon. Thank you for your patience. Meanwhile, I suggest to use a workaround to use another link for setup: https://www.fitbit.com/au/setup.

Use the australian setup link:
https://www.fitbit.com/au/setup
For some reason the canadian one is broken and nobody IN THE ENTIRE COMPANY is interested in fixing it.
I really want fitbit to succeed as a company, but the failure to address something as simple as this is a terrible look.

Is there a fix/update for the 404 error for users in Canada?
This is the second Charge 4 that I have purchased believing that the issue was the device itself however I believe it is based on my location. I am in the process of returning yet another product and choosing not to purchase any other fitbit devices.
Can anyone help me?

Thank you for the tip! I tried it and it worked. Pretty sad I could not do it on the Canadian link, and had to go to an Australian link to get Fitbit/setup.
Thanks again, you were a lifesaver

Still broken for all Canadians. 5 months later. Probably even longer. Copy pasted response every time. Sad.

Make sure you have the following:
Charge the 4 charging cables that came in the box with your device.
UL-certified wall charger. Note: Don’t plug the charging cable into a computer or USB hub for these troubleshooting steps.
Before getting started, make sure your device is connected securely to the charging cable:
Clip the end of the charging cable to the port on the back of Charge 4.
Make sure the pins on the charging clip lock securely with the gold contacts on the back of the tracker.
Make sure the device is centered in the charging cable and that the button on the side of Charge 4 is visible through the side of the clip.
When the connection is secure, Charge 4 vibrates, and a battery icon appears on the screen. Note: You may have to adjust the tracker to the correct position in the charging cable.
Hope You Find This Useful,
Peter
