Hi there,
I want to shut off messaging on my Fitbit account. I’ve gotten multiple weird messages from people over the last few months and blocking only delays the issue. Honestly, I have no desire to chat privately with folks on a fitness ap. How do I shut off this function?
Thanks!

Hi @AStarWars are these messages coming from within a challenge you're doing or directly to you? Only friends can message you, but in a challenge, anyone can message if they accepted an invite. You would need to check out the options on the Fitbit app and within each individual challenge as well. I use Android and it's what I do.

Hi, @AStarWars , you can do this. At the top of every page in the Community Forums on the right hand side you will see a little person icon (or picture). Click on that icon and go to “settings” . From the settings menu click “personal” and there you can click the option not to receive any emails.
You should be aware that this will also mean you won’t receive notification if anyone answers a question you pose in the Community (like this one!) so if you do ask a question or want to participate in one of the discussions you will need to turn it back on again. Unfortunately there is not an option to turn off only private messages.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums!
