I ave researched this and cannot find a solution. I have done the soft reset several times and checked setting on both my phone and my Fitbit Inspire. It does not record my sleep at all and the icon on the device is not active.

I have the same issue. The Inspire updates my sleep on my dashboard, but the display on the device itself does NOT update. I've managed to get it to light up with the stats once or twice but I'm not always successful. So far, I haven't found a solution and C.S. has not been helpful.

Mine actually does not log sleep at all unless I manually tell it that I am ready to go to sleep and that I am awake the next day

I finally resolved my own issue. I did a soft reset on my Fitbit and also found that instead of showing on my wrist it was on Clip. Now the icon is active and it tracked my sleep last night

I found out that my tracker was set to clip instead of wrist and once I changed that setting, it started working correctly.

Also try to do the soft reset on your tracker

I went to my fitbit settings and turned off and on the phone GPS and it worked.

I fixed this issue myself. My bluetooth was turned off on my phone. Once I turned it back on everything loaded it my phone and watch both.

What the sleep icon is for is so that way when you toss and turn, you don't wake up with a bright clock shining at you. Instead, the moon is dimmer than the normal screen, so when you toss around, it wont blare a bright light at you, instead you probably won't notice it.

I'm having the exact same issue. however, my fitbit is set on wrist and both my location and Bluetooth have been on ever since I received the fitbit. I've reseted it multiple times, dispaired the fitbit from the app as well as continously synced it- at this point I've kind of given up and now I just manually entered sleep tracker into the app instead. 😂

Where to you find it said it was on clip? I don't see that anywhere on my fitbit app.
