Is anyone else having any issues with their sleep not loading? For some reason today everything else will update but it will not give me any information about my sleep.

Nice to see you on the Fitbit Forums again @Shrumpy_01. Thanks for reporting the issues that you're having with your sleep tracking using Inspire HR.

You can see some details on how to wear your Fitbit Inspire HR here, it will help your sleep tracking. I'd like to mention that all of our wrist-based devices automatically detect your sleep using the same technology. Auto-detection is based on your movement. When you haven’t moved for about an hour, your device assumes that you’re asleep.

Additional data such as the length of time your movements are indicative of sleep behavior (such as rolling over) help confirm that you’re asleep. Morning movement tells your tracker that you’re awake. If you’re not moving but not asleep for long periods of time it’s possible for your device to falsely record sleep, in which case you can delete the sleep log from your history.

If you're still not getting your sleep information on the Fitbit App, please confirm that your Inspire HR has synced with your mobile or syncing device. You can also restart your Fitbit and check the sensitivity of your Fitbit.

Your device's setting can record your sleep in either "sensitive" mode for extremely detailed sleep reporting or "normal" mode for a more basic idea of your sleep patterns. Note that if you use a Fitbit device with heart-rate tracking to detect your sleep stages, this setting doesn't apply.

  • The normal setting counts significant movements as being awake (such as rolling over) and is appropriate for most users.
  • The sensitive setting will cause your device to record nearly all movements as time spent restless or awake. This setting may be helpful for users who wake up feeling tired even though their sleep history shows sufficient rest.

If you use the Fitbit app for Android you must change your sleep sensitivity setting on fitbit.com.

Some users have reported better sleep tracking when using the option "on clip" instead of "on wrist", you can find the instructions on how to do so in the manual page 12 and 18.

Thank you so much for your reply. But none of the options really answered my question.   I’m well aware of how put my wrist Fitbit in my wrist, I’m also using to my phone to see that my sleep isn’t being logged.
If the Fitbit is able to collect data for all the other stats, why is it NOT collecting sleep? Its collecting the rest of the information.

I am having this same problem. All of my other functions are working fine but my sleep logger has stopped working. Please let us know if this problem can be corrected and if so, how?

Thanks for getting back to me @Shrumpy_01. Welcome to the Community Forums @SBHBW and @Mags1960.

Thanks for sharing this information and for the steps that you've tried to fix the issues with your sleep stats. In this case, I'd suggest to delete the sleep log and then enter it again as a new sleep log. Restart your Fitbit and check the following night.

If you can share screenshots of the information that you're getting from your end, it would be of great help.

Remember that there are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

I am having the same problem.  Up until Sunday/Monday I was getting the sllep log absolutely fine.  Since then I have not be able to look at my sleep pattern at all.  I di manually log my sleep one day this week but I I interested in how much actual sleep i have.  This is one of the reasons that I bought the inspire.  I have tried a number of the suggested ways to rectify the problem but to date none of them have worked.

This is exactly what is happening to me. I've also tried several suggested
fixes but none of them work.

Hi @SBHBW thanks for getting back to me. Can you please confirm if you're able to see Sleep Stages details when you log your sleep?

Have you tried that?

Hello
I have completed the restart of my fitbit but it has made no difference-my
sleep is still not tracking.
I have manually logged my sleep but it simply shows that I have been asleep
for the whole period, no stages are recorded.

I am having exactly the same problems.  I have restarted my Inspire, I have restarted my phone and ipad, I have done everything they asked.  I wear it correctly.  I am getting no where with customer support.  My One worked fine so this is frustrating.

One reason I got Inspire is that I prefer the clip option to wearing it like a watch. So I got it to work for sleep but it is a pain.  Hold the side button for two seconds. Scroll down and change “clip” to “wrist”. Wear it on your non dominant wrist at night. In the morning, reset it to “clip” so you can wear it during the day. This has worked for me for two days so I think that’s one solution to this problem.

Since the One worked on a clip and on the wrist without all this extra work, it took me a while to figure out a solution. Fitbit, you need to design an easy clip option.

I also am having this issue and have tried all suggestions that I have read and also had a chat session last weekend with Fitbit person and it is still not loading the sleep info each day.  Very frustrating and it all began after I upgraded my iPad to the 13.3.1 OS.  I do not know what to try next.

I've done all the steps suggested by the Customer Service people and it still is hit and miss as to gathering correct sleep information. Very frustrating to say the least!
