Hi, @Wymrlover , usually when your Fitbit is not behaving as expected the first troubleshooting step is to give it a restart:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

It also is important to check for any update in the Fitbit app.

For sleep tracking it is also helps to make sure your Fitbit is well charged - preferably at 30% or more.

Sometimes the Fitbit cannot consistently detect your heartrate, often because your wrist is in a flexed position while you are sleeping, and then sleep tracking may fail.  Obviously you cannot help this!  But hopefully with a restart, and checking for app update, normal service will be resumed tonight.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.  Welcome to the forums!

I have been using the Inspire (not HR) since the middle of July, moved over from the One.  It occasionally monitored sleep at first, but it tended to think whenever I was sitting at my computer the clip did not pick up movement.  Now it picks up nothing as far as sleep goes, I do manually add it in the log when I get up.  And occasionally I add a nap in.

Hi, @Wymrlover ,  these are the instructions for resetting:

This will not recover sleep that was not tracked in the past - unfortunately that is not possible - but should help fix the problem moving forward.  As mentioned above, ideally keep your Fitbit charged to 30% or more (charging little and often is ideal and will also preserve your battery life long term).  Also make sure the Fitbit is snug on your wrist but not overly tight.
