Slow to sync

It can take at least 5 minutes for my Fitbit inspire HR to sync with my iPhone. When I first got this Fitbit it was almost an instant sync as soon as you opened the app but now it seems to take longer and longer. Is this normal?

I have the same issue...and it won’t sync if I use my iPad...only syncs with my iPhone.

Good, not just me - I was about to raise this issue! Mine is behaving the same - I'm sure it didn't take long to sync in the early days. I'm using android 8.

I got out a stopwatch this morning, started a sync, the green progress bar goes to about 10% along and stops. It took pretty much exactly 5 minutes of doing nothing then suddenly comes to life and takes about 18 seconds to complete after that.

It looks like there is some accidental 5 minute pause in the software??? Looks like a software bug.

FYI, I only sync every few days... I don't have notifications enabled, no gps, I just use it for HR monitoring and sports 'smart track' (but not much during the week). It does not matter if I have recently sync'd, if I do it again it won't be any faster the next time.

I’m fed up of my inspire

I don’t get my sleep data till hours and usually the following evening...

i sick of closing the app, restarting blah blah.... I would not recommend this Fitbit ... my flex 2 was perfect..😟

Fibit syncs only with one device, the first you connected it with. But yeah, I find the syncing insane slow too. It seems to take like forever to get all the details over. I do not wish to use continiously sync for the reason that I only want to sync at home using wifi (I dont like to give away info on my wherabouts too much) but compared to my previous simpleton Flex 2 who synced in the blink of an eye, even the stats for many days.... this is just so slow.

****No offence, but I am not accepting random friend requests. 😞 ****

Thank you for your reply. After I posted my question, I read that it was important to use one devise for syncing and not to keep Bluetooth on on the 2nd device. It still takes more time than syncing my previous Older fitbit.
Again, thank you!
