Starting exercise from InspireHR or AP/announcements

A bit trivial, but when I go on walks, I like to hear my pace.  If I start the walk exercise using the HR's face, I don't hear the pace rate.  I do get a vibration every 5 minutes (I checked the 5 minute announcement)

If I start the exercise from my phone app, I do hear an audio announcement of my pace at the selected time or distance.

Is there a way to get that from starting the event on the HR?  Am I missing something?  TIA

You're not missing anything.  The tracker has no audio output, if that explains it.

Johnny,

Thanks for the reply.  I understand how the HR doesn't have audio.  That's not my point.   If I start the event on the FB and it is synced to my phone, I don't hear the pace through the phone.  If I start it with the app on the phone I hear the pace on the phone and see/feel "laps" on the InspireHR.

Point is, one has to START the exercise with the app and NOT on the Inspire if one wants to hear any audio... through the phone.

Yes, I understood all that, and I was telling you that you were not missing the method to do it, as you asked.

I don't claim to understand why - just thought maybe that was a factor.
