@Schmoozer , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

Have you tried the steps described here: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Same. I can't connect it via blue tooth and the app is not working. It's still counting my steps and sleep on my app.. so clearly some.of its connected. This update is a Fitbit change to Google and what it's done is a huge mess. The problem is not my watch, or my phone. It's even messed up the time on my watch (I don't even know how that's possible!), then 3 days later time is magically correct.

So many posts everywhere saying the same. Tired of seeing Fitbit team suggestions about removing and reapplying app, or 'how to sync'. We are not the problem, they are.

So frustrating that I'm going to get rid of my Fibltbit and go another avenue

Yep I'm the same. Since going over to Google I've lost all my premium sleep details.  Totally fed up contacting fitbit support.. they are useless. Continually advised to do all troubleshooting, to wait for new versions of fitbit etc etc. Have done all this 100 times over and still no detailed data re sleep that I used to have when paying for a premium subscription.  So in March this year I will be getting rid of fitbit and getting a better tracker that also offers better customer support. Fitbit has went from great to abysmal over the past 6 months.  Would not recommend to anyone. Complete waste of money

Same problem, no sleepregistration: see post here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Inspire-Trackers/Inspire-2-no-longer-tracking-sleep-consistent...

Another problem is that Fitbit customer service contact is only through a very untrustworthy company with which I personally will not be forced to subscribe to or have anything to do with. What happened to just being able to contact custumerservice through email or another independent service?

Well let's hope fitbit resolve these issues but I don't think they will.

They promised me that after I had the most up to date version of the fitbit
app which is 4.09 that all my detailed sleep data would be back and if not
I was to contact them again.
But i still have only basic sleep data which is useless and I have
contacted fitbit support several times over the past 4 weeks and they don't
even reply any longer.

They know the fitbit app now has major problems that can't be fixed so I am
getting rid of my fitbit now

Reading all your (and others) complaints today, I also am thinking they are not gonna resolve this.

Hopefully I still have the guarantee so I can return my expensive "watch" (because that's all it is for me now... 😉 )

I have been putting some effort and time in reporting in different threads about this, and reporting posts, and mentioning Fitbitmoderator... And placing a new thread about unreachable customerservice (if you don't do Meta). So I'm kind'da expecting some reaction from them. If not... it is extremely bad service from their part.

Well let me know if you hear back from them ( the fitbit people). I
certainly haven't even though I've contacted them via email and twitter.

Bit they've not replied to me for weeks now. I think they know there's huge
problems with the app and the transfer over to Google. And I don't think
they know how to resolve. So we're all in the same boat. An expensive
watch as you say. Its shocking 😲
