I've been sitting at my desk most of the morning but have somehow accumulated a little over 1,100 steps. How can that happen?
Most Sincerely,
Confused Shoes

Hi @TobiGail sitting at your desk, you doing any typing or moving your hands around? These devices are wrist based, so such movements can add to your step count. If you feel they are accumulating too much, you can log that time as another activity, which would negate those steps. This happens to me, but I feel the times I don't get credit for steps, such as when I'm carrying something in my arms or pushing a cart, equal things out.

Hi can anyone help please? Just bought an inspire HR and had it 2 days. It’s instantly added around 2.5k steps in the morning whilst I’ve been SAT down at work. Any ideas?

Yes @JayneAndrews just as I posted above, these wrist based devices capture our hand movements as steps. If you were pushing a cart, it wouldn't register as many steps as when you're walking and moving your arms. I have a friend who knits and removes her Fitbit so it won't add too many steps to her daily count.
