My Inspire 2 is tracking too many steps. It’s tracking steps when the only thing moving is my arm when I’m just sitting down doing stuff.

Hi @sjolleyn8  these are wrist based devices and your arm movements will count as steps. If you were pushing a cart or stroller, you wouldn't get as many steps since your arms aren't moving. Is it really enough where you're concerned? I know at times I keep my hands in my pockets, so the step count is lower, but when I'm busy other times, it adds steps. Seems to me that mine probably even out over time.

I got an ankle band and magically stopped having thousands of extra steps per day. Before that I was earning badges before I got out of bed.  Fitbit doesn't sell one for Inspire 2 and there isn't an ankle setting, but I found an inexpensive one via amazon, and telling Fitbit my device is on my dominant wrist but actually putting it on my ankle helped a ton.
