My husband's Inspire 2 seems to be tracking while he is driving. How can this be fixed? Has anyone else had this happen?

Hi, thank you for sharing your inquiry about the Inspire 2, @Evy1963.
Unfortunately your Fitbit device will indeed count steps during a driving activity. There's currently not a Driving Mode feature available to avoid these extra steps recorded. However, I do recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this is helpful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
Keep in mind that you can’t delete steps and floors; instead, you can log a non-step-based activity such as driving to override the steps or floors recorded; you can check this article for more information. Other users have also found useful to connect the device to the charger while driving, as this prevents the device from counting any steps, but this is more helpful for short drives.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about this. The team of developers continues to work to improve the quality of products and services.
See you around.

I know this is extra work but until the Fitbit actually listens to their consumers this is what I do. As soon as I get in the car I take screen shot of my dashboard, then when I get to my destination screen shot again, I do this everytime I get in the car to drive and when I stop to get out. When I reach m final desitination I subtract all of the "drive" information to get my true steps taken. It is a huge pain (see italics), but I give think you would have to turn off and turn on the drive anyway and its better than thinking you have more steps than you really do.
Note to Mod change the italics and I will just add it back, because it is the truth!
