When I walk on my treadmill, holding onto the handles, the steps are not recording on my Inspire.  I've tried moving it to different places on my arm.  Any other tips?

@drd06   You say you are using the Inspire, not the Inspire HR.  Here's what you need to do if you want to hold both rails while walking on the treadmill.  First, press and hold the button for about 2 seconds to get the Quick Settings screen.  I believe the bottom choice is On Wrist or On Clip.  Put the setting to On Clip.  Push the button lightly to return to the clock face.  Now you can put the Inspire in a pocket or wear it on your torso and it will count your steps.  With it set on On Clip, it might even count your steps still on your wrist while holding the rails, but I recommend wearing on your torso.  Be sure to set it back when you are done or I suspect you will get crazy high step counts.

Fitbit makes an accessory clip for wearing your Inspire as a torso tracker.

Holding on, you probably will not get steps.  If you can hold with just one hand and let the other arm swing, you should get steps.  If not, you can put tracker in a pocket or clipped to clothing and probably get steps, but at the expense of not getting heart rate data for that time.

@LZeeW  is correct.  I missed that you are using the Inspire, not HR.

Swing your arms when you walk.  If you have to hold on, use the hand without the fitbit.
