Hello @chelseafashion and welcome to the forums.  If you mean the screen, your clock face, there is a very easy way to do that.  Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds.  The second choice is Screen Wake.  Scroll up a little to get it to the middle of the screen and tap that icon.  The light bulb will look a little dim with a line through it.  Press the button to get back to your clock face.  You can re-activate the Screen Wake by repeating these steps to turn the light bulb back on.

I have the same problem!!!! It is ridiculous that I can't turn it off. The instruction I saw says that whether one uses heart function or not, the green flashing light stays on Inspire HR.  Ha...

hi,

if you've bought the HR then surely you want the HR function????

tighten the strap a bit so the back is in contact with your skin and then you wont see the flashing, but you will get your sleep stats (sleep stages and resting HR)

Thank for your reply. Yet my problem is that the green light is still on even when  I take it off. I leave it on a table, and I still see the light constantly which is bothering.  Also I think at least it is nice to have an option to turn it off as a customer.

hence my point... I bought it because i am not a good sleeper and i have to monitor and not get even further disturbed by any light. It is utterly stupid to have a devise with this problem. I used Up by jawbone for years which is superior but unfortunately they stopped.... i like fitbit as connected to myfitnesspal etc but not sure i will keep it as i cant use it during my sleep

i am with you i had to wear a mask but that made me uncomfortable so i took it off and put it in a box. in any case before switching off the screen wake the green light wasn't flashing and more over the led light is still on meaning when i toss and turn the clock comes up so nothing worked. i may return it

@hyowoo  as an FYI after spending an hour chatting with the support team we have established that it doesn't work i am sending mine back. Also they realised that even if you were able to switch the green light off (it doesn't work btw) there is no point in having no HR monitor off if you bought it. they suggested i wait and see what they come up with but it is far too expensive for them not knowing, also for the LED light to be on all night despite you switching it off again having your poor sleep disturbed further.

@chelseafashion   I'm sorry that I misunderstood your original post.  In the past, users had complained about the clock face brightness (it is an LED screen).  I didn't realize until your later post that you were referring to the HR LEDs, with your Inspire HR on the table.  I'm glad you got the help you needed from support.

@hyowoo @sarah654 If you are having issues with the HR LEDs staying on, I think you should contact Support.  My HR LEDs reliably turn off within 5 seconds of laying my Inspire HR on a table.

@LZeeW both the main issue was the led light on the screen and even when you switch it off from smart wake and you do the sync it doesn't work and then the flashing green light for the HR. they checked and it doesn't switch off so i am sending it back. thank you
