My steps recorded are zero but the fitbit shows that I have burnt 1300 calories

That could be ok.

As well as tracking calories burned through activity your fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from your profile settings for age, height, weight etc so you needn't be wearing your fitbit to get them. What you are seeing includes the total BMR calories burned since midnight

If this is so then I find the Fitbit inspire a completely useless tracker....it will never help me know what I need to do to lose weight! I have linked it with My fitness pal and so far today I've done 4500 steps and apparrently used 1,500 calories. So My fitness pal  now thinks I need to eat more😂😂😂 Come on fitbit, I've seen tons of complaints and have tried various resets....thinking of returning it and going back to my £7.99 s##tbit!!! At least it was truthful.
