Hey  2 questions.

1. is inspire 2 a good fitbit for a senior citizen (86 years)

2. can a senior citizen use an ipad for the fitbit app because he doesnot have ( nor want) a cell phone.

Hi @momiscool - good questions. I am happy to help.

1. The display of the Inspire is very small. Your Senior may do better with the Versa 3 smart watch. It has a bigger display. There is also a better selection of clock faces, many of which offer larger numbers and fonts. The screen can also be adjusted to maximum brightness.  

2. It is possible to download the Fitbit app to the iPad as long as its iOS is at 13 or higher.

@momiscool    I'd like to add my opinion to the excellent advice given by @SunsetRunner.  The Inspire 2 has a monochrome display.  Fitbit's monochrome displays are hard to read in sunlight.  Users of all ages complain about this.  Fitbit has two other trackers with color screen displays, the Charge 5 and the Luxe.  I don't recommend either of these for a senior.  They both have tiny fonts.
