erasing data from Inspire HR

I need to erase my data from an Inspire HR before returning it for exchange. I have followed the instructions in the setting but the data is not erased. I have pressed the screen for 3 seconds and the screen goes blank, then after about 10 seconds comes back on and all the data is still there. I have tried this 4 times and all with the same result, I just cannot get it to erase my data!

Thanks, but that is the article I read and followed, and it did not work even after 4 attempts. I have heard directly from Fitbit now though, but thank you for taking the trouble to reply
