Does anyone know how to get the screen to show the heart rate continuously?
I bought this for that sole purpose--to keep within a range during exercise. Scrolling down each time is not practical.

I scroll up twice and it's there and stays till I press the button to return to the clock. I lift wrist to see HR. I use it for the purpose you do. Or use 'simple stats' in clock faces and tap til HR is shown but this is rather small for my old eyes.

Ok. I got it.
Tap the face until the heart rate image appears on the bottom, under the time display. It will stay there, unless I hit the side button or scroll or whatever.
But I maintain the font is very very small for, uh, older eyes. Us older people need to watch our heart rates while exercising, not necessarily for peak performance, but so we don't put ourselves at risk.
So, Fitbit, it might be a good idea to accommodate this huge market of older people.
Otherwise, I'm really loving this gadget!

Hi Cathy,
You're right, it's quite annoying that the watch doesn't allow you to "lock" what you want it to display. I find it will display my heart rate when I begin my exercises, but have to reset it every few minutes, as it decides (seemingly randomly) to display some totally irrelevant data. This is a ridiculous omission for what's supposed to be Fitbit's HR "Heart Rate" watch.

I hope Fitbit read some of these because I am in complete agreement! My old inspire showed continuous heart rate without having to do anything!

I'm replying in the hope that more engagement = Fitbit more likely to notice.

Yes I’m also hoping they take notice. I need an alarm to tell me my heart rate is too high when cycling and also for it to be on my screen until I want to change it.

Exactly. The only thing I wanted it for. It was a present, but I think I’m going to have to go and buy a Garmin coz folks have been asking for this for 18 months from what I’ve read on the forum. This model was chosen fir me coz it’s called HR, but won’t tell me what my HR is without having to faff while running. Strange name to have chosen for it.

Same problem here, very disappointed about there being a dozen faces with stupid cats and whatnot, but the only information that would actually be beneficial is missing. Not only that, but also checking out the heart rate data afterwards on the website is only in 5 min intervals and very, very hard to read as it's so tightly packed. Who the hell designs these things???

Not sure if you found it yet. But if you use the watch face titled "Tracks" and then tap through to heart rate, it keeps a fairly large heart rate number in the scree which pops up every time you tilt your wrist toward your face.

Fitbit is really bad and I advise not to buy it ! Username there are only fake promo articles online , after you buy it you discover forums and see how pissed off are Fitbit owners with their device.
During the exercises or tracked walking it shows useless data , and you cannot see current heart rate easily - it’s really stupid!
devve is inaccurate as well - you can sit on your behind all day and it will tell you suddenly that you reached 10,000 goal and burned 2000 calories (so can eat more ??) . Whoever designed the Fitbit software never did any exercises with it !!! Buy a Garmin or a Polar , don’t waste money on flashy Fitbit nonsense!

I agree - the Fitbit software and app are shockingly bad. This is my first fitness tracker, so I don't have much to compare it to. I got it primarily to see my heartrate, but I've been absolutely floored how difficult they make it just to see my heartrate! I installed another app to plot my heartrate that's collected by my Fitbit. The other app updates more frequently (I don't have to wait 5-10 minutes after waking up just to see my HR) and shows a better plot, even though it's using the Fitbit data.

I really would have hoped that, after three years, the heart-rate display would have been improved
