problem with gender options

  • This is not the type of thing you normally talk about here but I think that the gender options on the Fitbit app should be more than just male and female. I hope they can at least add a ‘rather not say’ option. Thank you. Only love!

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Help forums.  The reason you must choose between male and female is that certain equations are sex based because of biological differences.  The BMR calorie equations and the equations for the cardio fitness score (what Fitbit calls your VO2max estimate) are different for males and females.
