"Low battery" notification when battery is charged

I have a problem either with shortening battery life or with "low battery" notifications on my Inspire HR device.

When I just got it 3 month ago, I was receiving the "Low battery" notification when the battery was at 15%. Shortly after, the device would shut down, demanding to charge it. Few weeks ago, notification came when it was at 20%, last week I got the notification when the battery was at 40%, and right now I got it when my device is at 60%!

The device use is absolutely same all this time. Also the clock face is same - "stats heavy". Set it on the day I got the device and haven't changed since.

To note, the device shuts off shortly after notification comes, and when I plug it in and check how much is it charged, it shows the same high charge it had before I plug it.

So, what to do? Is it the battery dying after such short time, or is it something messed up with some settings? How to fix?

Thanks.

Hi

I've got the same problem.

My phone keeps on sending me notifications of low battery on the Fitbit inspire hr.

How is it possible to solve it?

Mine just started doing the same thing. It’s at 60% and I’m receiving notifications that the battery is low. Is it because the GPS is on? That’s the only thing that’s changed recently. The GPS was off until yesterday.

The gps has always been on on my device since I've bought it two months ago.

The problem with the notification only appears a fortnight ago.

I'm looking for a solution to a similar problem, too.

Mine didn't shut down, though. I'm just getting "Low battery" alerts when the battery isn't low. I got one at 65%, so when I checked on the device (because it seemed too soon) and noticed the actual percentage I just ignored it.

Three days later, got a notification that it was low, figured that was reasonable and didn't check it. Plugged it in and it was 45% - decided I may as well charge it anyway.

Got another alert - while it was charging - that the battery was low, the next morning. It was still plugged in and at 100.

Getting same message also, beginning past few days. Says "low" and battery in 50-60% range.

Story continues. The device didn't shut down yet, but now I received another "low battery notification", with the battery level on 51%.

I see it's not only me having this problem.

Do fitbit ppl ever reply these threads? Don't see any solutions proposed so far 😞

I’ve had my Inspire HR less than a month, and today I received the “your Inspire HR battery is low” message. I thought it must be wrong because I had just charged it a couple of days ago. Sure enough, when I checked, it was at 60%. The other night, when tracking my sleep, it said I was awake from 3:10am to 4:10am - not intermittently, solid red for that whole time - but I was not awake nor restless. This is all very annoying since I had issues with my Alta HR prior to receiving the Inspire HR as a gift.

This same issue just started with my HR device, too. The last three times I've gotten this message my charger showed 59% and the 'bar' was firmly in mid-yellow. And yes, does anyone from the manufacturer monitor these messages? I see that these postings go back to the end of last summer!

@Dwyerbailey The Fitbit folks monitor these forums.  Every now and then, one of them (last name "FitBit") will chime in with "@soandso, so glad you are on the forums!  Restart your device 5 times, and let me know how that works for you!".

By the way, have you restarted your device 5 times??? Smiley Very Happy

Thanks for the message!  I just restarted 5 times...and I didn't know to do that, so double thanks...so I'll see if that helps.

@Dwyerbailey i was being facetious, I don’t think that will help!

I have doubts it can be helpful, I think the guy was joking on Fitbit service.

But if it helps - can you let us know?

I am having the same battery issue with my Inspire also. I keep getting low battery notifications but when I check the device, the battery is supposedly charged. I'd like to know how to fix this!

I should’ve added to my post the other day - not only do I get notifications of the battery being low when it isn’t, but twice now the only notification I’ve received when the battery was actually at 15% was a vibration of the Fitbit itself (there was no prior notification)!

Brief UPDATE on my part:

I've been surfing the forum and have come across a few posts that say that glitches sometimes occur after updates, so I'm hoping this is the case.  I began having this battery notification issue right after an update.

That being said, it would be NICE if SOMEONE FROM FITBIT got back to us regarding this problem.  And when I say "someone", I mean an actual person from the company and not someone outside of North America who troubleshoots from a manual.

Thanks!

And another one. My Inspire HR and my wife's started doing this a week or so ago. Just got one with 54% showing on the tracker so I headed here to see what was up.  I'm wondering if it's something in an app update?
