I walk on a body every day While watching TV. Fitbit is always recognized this activity as elliptical machine. Suddenly yesterday when the update hit, I had food issues which were eventually fixed. But then I noticed that it no longer recognizes elliptical and that’s a huge part of my day. So I’m missing like a whole bunch of walking. Also, I went on a huge walk last night outside and it didn’t recognize any of it

Hello @Mom2Jacob Welcome back to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Thank you for letting me know that your Fitbit is not recognizing your elliptical and walk activities. I'll do my best to help you.
If you have the MobileTrack option linked to your app, please remove it as it may cause the issue with the activity recognition. To remove this feature, follow these steps:

The Fitbit app “corrected” itself as “elliptical” started showing up again, maybe the next day.. However it didn’t create a walk detail for last Friday. Now I’m intrigued by your solution. What is the phone issue? I suddenly saw Apple health information. What happens if I add phone?

Hi there @Mom2Jacob! Nice to see you here.
When you add your Phone or Mobile Track, the app records information from the watch and sometimes also from your mobile phone, so your data may be inaccurate.
The Mobile Track feature is used most by people who don't have a watch and want to track their steps.

what part is mobile track? Health app? Does Fitbit use the health app if I haven’t connected to the app? I generally use the health app mainly for steps because calories isn’t available and miles are questionable. Steps appear to even be a little off but I can compare prior steps with people who don’t have a Fitbit but I want to see if I walked with them one day

Hi @Mom2Jacob!
The Mobile Track is that you remove as Phone from your app.
