Adding Deezer music on FitBit Versa

Anyone else having problems adding music to the Versa? I have playlists in Deezer but the music won't show on the watch. I have a Premium account that's in free trial mode right now if that makes a difference. It shouldn't.

I vote Spotify!!!

@Cwshngton Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Not sure if I understood what you said about your account. So you have a Deezer account that was Premium but not anymore? Is this correct? So that means that your Premium membership expired? Or do you still have Premium on your account?

If your account (which can exist without the Premium membership) is no longer under a Premium membership then you won't be able to transfer your music to your Versa. If you do have an active paid subscription then follow these steps to download your playlists to your Versa.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi! I have a new premium account (I'm in the 30 day trial run) but it is a premium account that will charge me next month.
Even though it's a premium account I cannot download and transfer music to my watch. My playlists do not show on my watch.

You have to transfer them to the Versa, they don't just show up once you make the playlist on Deezer.

When I go to the Deezer on the watch it says no music and to go to the app and add music. I go to the Fitbit app to add music and it says go to the Deezer app and favorite or add more playlists which I have done.
Not sure what it is that I am not doing. Yours is working correctly? What phone do you have?

@Cwshngton did you ever figure this out?  I'm having the same issue transferring music into my Versa from Deezer app.

Hi! Yes. I think I just got lucky though. I deleted the app from my phone and unlinked the Deezer account to the Versa. Basically started over. I also added a few more songs to my favorites which helped Deezer create a "Flow". Added the app and linked the account again and there is was!
Good luck!

I've been trying to connect to wifi and then Deezer for about 6 hours now and am so utterly frustrated!! Why is this so complicate? Why no drag and drop? I bought the Versa specifically so i could have music on it but it just doesn't work. Is there a real person I can take it to?? I've read hundreds of posts and tried every possible tip. weep!

Hi all,

Getting playlists from Deezer to your watch can be daunting/frustrating first time round but rest assured it does work.

Here's some useful reading;  https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2326

The important things to remember;

-- You must have a Deezer premium account

-- You must activate Deezer. See the help guide above

-- You need to have ay least one playlist populated with a least one song, otherwise there will be no music to transfer

-- Your watch should be attached to a charger in order to download/update playlists

-- Your watch battery needs to be at least 25% charged to allow it to connect to your WiFi

Thanks but as I said I have tried all hints and tips and the WiFi only stays connected for a few seconds so the download always fails.

I have been using my phone hotspot as the house WiFi doesn’t work (even though I have set up the 2.4 ghz band).

As for getting all my iTunes music uploaded, well that just seems totally impossible.

If this isn’t resolved can I return the Verda? I think an Apple Watch might be a better option I’m afraid.

Thanks

@LP_GPT @Sheldoreo It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

@LP_GPT sorry to hear about your difficulties adding music to your Versa. Some members have commented that trying to add only a 10 songs playlist at a time helps. You can also try using a guest wifi network without a password so there isn't an issue with logging into it and transferring your music. Finally a factory reset (settings > About > Factory Reset) could help fixing this issue but remember that you will need to setup your Versa again after this process.

Regarding a refund this will depend on where did you purchased your Versa from. If you purchased it from the Fitbit store then you have a 45 days window to request a refund, if it was somewhere else then you will need to contact the retailer for more information about their refund policies.

@Sheldoreo thank you for sharing your ideas to fix this!

I have the exact same problem and have been to the same process as you. I hope fitbitt will provide a solution soon. I'm so disappointed, it's a great watch in many ways. But this feature was the game changer for my choice of purchase. I'm frustrated this don't work on an expensive watch like this.

Hi Anne, I gave up. 15 hours wasted trying to get it set up so I went and bought an apple watch, and that was ready for a run within 20 minutes! Such as shame as the fitbit interface is better.

I have been trying to upload deezer music on my new Fitbit Versa for 2 days now and still unable to download. I think I will return it for a refund. This is a complete waste of time.

It's not! Don't give up. I thought I responded with how to do it one day. But start over with the download follow the steps then make a playlist and start adding music to it. Then you'll be able to download that playlist to the watch.

So I'm checking on a couple of things....I need to pay for a premium account and have the versa watch charging, correct?  I guess the trial I have is causing the problem.  I am hesitant to get the subscription because people still had trouble but you didn't, correct?

I'm  not the techno type of gal so excuse anything that should be a given as I'm learning!

Thanks
