Adding music to Fitbit Versa 2

Has anyone managed to add music to their Fitbit Versa 2.

We have tried everything and nothing works, we have spent more than 6 hours without success.

We wrote to Fitbit who were quick to respond but nothing worked.

It maybe that the Fitbit App has not been updated to accommodate the Versa 2.

Interested to know if anyone in Australia has managed to get this to work.

We are on the verge of returning the phone which we don't want to do as the fitness side of things is exactly what we were looking for.

Same here. I managed to couple the versa 2 to my computer using the bluetooth parameters but once in the fitbit app, nothing happened. Since Versa 2 was not in the list I tried both of versa lite and versa 1 watches but nothing worked.

I tried to play music with Alexa : it is not made for.

I tried to power on my lights with alexa : It didn't work (but works with the phone or echo dot)

I tried to configure the fitbit pay : My bank is not compatible.

Fortunately it gives me the time well

Iv tried multiple of the help page ways of doing it but so far no good. Fitbit has no foresight anymore now that they have competitors. They used to absolutely amazing but now they can't even get their own programs ready for the launch of a new device.

You need to use the Fitbit Connect software (here) (this is not the same as the Windows 10 app) to upload music to the watch. At the end of the installation process make sure you don't select the option to uninstall.

Has anyone ever been able to install music on their Versa 2, even with Fitbit Connect ? Would you be kind enough to share the procedure, please ?

I keep getting a message when I try to transfer that says 'Device Storage is full.' but I have not put any music or new apps on my fitbit yet. I'm trying to upload a little over 20h of music which my Versa was able to hold (it's 350ish mostly normal-length songs).

Sorry don't know how to help - perhaps reset your versa 2.

I found a solution elsewhere. Apparently this program doesn't let you upload a lot of songs at once, so it's recommended to upload 25-30 at a time.

How did people navigate the part to Setup a new tracker? I can't see the Versa 2 listed and the box won't let me scroll thru it.

I worked for an hour trying to figure it out - I was about to give up and realized I had it downloaded to my Fitbit Versa2 once I looked on my watch under music.  Guess I got lucky. YEAH ❤️

I've followed all the steps.  However, the Fitbit connect app never connects to my watch.  It just spins forever saying "looking for your watch".  The Versa 2 screen says "use your computer to start transferring music".  Here is where my journey ends and my frustration begins....

Hello! I just purchased  the Versa 2 and the same thing is happening to me!! : ( I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions but nothing is working. I have looked on youtube as well, no help there. Just wondering if you had any luck yet.

Thanks for your reply...Now I'm sad.  I will try to talk to customer support tomorrow but now I am thinking I may return the watch. I never though I would have so much trouble trying to download a few songs on this silly watch! I've invested too much time and energy to just let it go, it's so frustrating.

I'm thinking of upgrading from the versa to the versa 2. However, I love the ability to store my own music and listening to my music via Bluetooth without having my phone is mandatory. Can this be done via the versa?  If so how?  Please help.  Thanks

I'm looking at buying a Versa 2 now in 2021. 

Is the connect app still available and work as outlined in this thread? 

I heard rumors it was going away, and for sure versa 3 doesn't allow downloading your own music short of having subscriptions (from what I've read).
